مرحوم سید محمد سلطان الواعظین شیرازي فرزند سید علیاکبر
اشرفالواعظین از دانشمندان و خطباي مشهور شیعه بود. نسب شریف
وي از طریق امام همام حضرت موسی بن جعفر علیهالسلام به رسول
گرامی اسلام صلی الله علیه وآله منتهی میشود.
وي در ماه ذيالقعده سال 1314 قمري در تهران قدم به عرصه وجود
گذاشت. تحصیلات اولیه را در تهران با موفقیت پشت سر گذاشته و در
سال 1326 همراه با پدر بزرگوارش عازم عتبات عالیات گردید و از محضر
مرحوم مرندي و شهرستانی کسب فیض نمود. در سال 1328 به ایران
مراجعت کرد. ایشان در طی عمر با برکت خود مسافرتهاي بسیاري به
عراق، سوریه، فلسطین، اردن، مصر و هندوستان نموده و با طوایف
بسیاري از یهود، هنود وبهائیها مناظره نمود.
کتاب شبهاي پیشاور، مشروح مذاکرات مجلس مناظرهاي است که ایشان
در سال 1345 قمري در حضور حدود دویست نفر از رجال و بزرگان
داشته « پاکستان کنونی » شیعه و اهل سنت در شهر پیشاور پنجاب هند
است.
